Integrated Devices and Microsystems

The Integrated Devices and Microsystems area has a focus beyond the materials and discrete device level. Research in this area encompasses optical fiber and transceivers for high speed interconnects and telecommunication, MEMS and NEMS for physical, chemical and biological sensing, chip-scale microsystems involving micro-acoustics, RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave designs for wireless signal processing, and integrated photonics for light-driven sensing, computing, and data processing.
