Building and Laboratory Access Guidelines
Everyone in the following categories will need to apply for MNTL building access:
- Graduate and Undergraduate Researchers
- Postdoctoral Research Associates
- Visiting Scholars
- Faculty and Staff housed within MNTL
Most of the common lab areas, as well as the building itself, are accessed with a proximity i-card. Offices and individual faculty labs are typically accessed with a cylinder key. Requests for either require submission of the on-line MNTL Keycard Request Form. If cylinder key(s) are needed please print out a Cylinder Key Request Form and submit it to the MNTL Business Office in Room 2104 MNTL after you have completed the safety orientation.
Note: No cylinder keys will be distributed without prior issuance of a proximity i-card.
There is a $8.50 fee required for obtaining a proximity i-card. There is a $25 deposit required for each cylinder key as of February 1, 2013.
